This collection presents two British television miniseries written by RUMPOLE OF THE BAILEY creator John Mortimer. PARADISE POSTPONED (1986) explores the mystery of why socialist minister Reverend Simeon Simcox (Michael Hordern) left his money to Conservative politician Leslie Titmuss (David Threlfall) rather than to his sons, Fred (Paul Shelley) and Henry (Peter Egan). The 1991 sequel, TITMUSS REGAINED, focuses on Titmuss as he tries to use his political clout to scuttle a proposed property development near his own country estate while falling for toothsome young widow Jenny Sidonia (Kristin Scott Thomas).
