This film, one of the last by legendary Filipino filmmaker Eddie Romero, explores war, freedom and the human condition.

Five men escape a Vietnamese POW camp after suffering there illegally for five years. Hungry for freedom, they raid a whorehouse looking for supplies to help them get out of the country - and run right into a group of Russian soldiers. After agreeing to the pleas of the call girls to take them along on their journey to freedom, the group of refugees fight their way through the unforgiving jungle. They discover an abandoned plane that may just be their saving grace - if they can get it working.

As they plot their escape right under the noses of the Russian and Vietnamese soldiers combing the jungle looking for runaways, it look like they just might make it out alive. In a nerve-wracking, violent climax, watch as the group fights its last battle for freedom and cheer with them as they fly victorious into the arms of liberty.
